A night at the Titanic

Ever wondered what would’ve happened in Titanic (the film) if Leonardo Di Caprio saved his life? Maybe they would’ve married, have pretty kids and so…or maybe they would’ve realised they had nothing in common and just break up. Or maybe they both joined Second Life and live happily in the virtual version of the ship ;p

One of the best things in SL is you can be able to explore the virtual version of cities, planets, beautiful landscaped and yes, even the Titanic!! And no signs of icebergs here, actually the only thing that can put you in danger there is some occasional singer i am not going to mention.  I will just say he makes ME sound like a good singer.

Thursday night we were lucky and HE wasn’t there, the singer was actually not bad at all, the stars were shining and the moon was bright and we were looking gorgeous as ever.

 

Except a small area at the entrance that’s stuffed with ugly vendors, the rest is very well decorated and well, the company made it even better.

You dont get to see Jops in a tux often, so i had to get the chance and make some pics to get some graphic proof of this moment!!

Verne & Jule’s first vacations part 1

Summer’s here and Verne finnished school, his results weren’t as good as i expected but i think we all deserve some nice vacations. We asked Jules if he wanted to so somewhere, some place he wanted to visit but, since the poor creature never left his circus before, they let me choose the destination.

Looking for the closest teleporting station, and checking all the fares i found out they don’t have special prices for creepy kids in Second Life, so we decided to do something different and travel by balloon!!

The two creepies wanted to travel in their own balloon, maybe so they could chat and play without their annoying mom, so i let them do it.

 

– You two, fasten your balloonbelt right now, you’re gonna fall!!!

– I am safe in my jar mommy, don’t worry!! , said Verne.

Poor Jules was too terrified of heights to say anything, but i could see his tiny clockwork body sliding out fo the safety belt and imagined him crashing on the ground…

– Ok, you two, now jump on my back so we can all continue without having to regret any accident.

– But i want my balloon mommy!!

– I will buy you a balloon Verne, now jump on my back!

 

Finally they did and we could continue out trip…

 

– And where are we going mom?

– It is a surprise, you’ll both like it.

– And how long will it take to get there?

– I am not sure, depends on the wind, the traffic…

– And what will we do there?

– We’ll rest and have fun!

– Mommy, i want to pee!!!

– Damm kids!!!

Amelie in Wonderland

Amelie was always a very curious girl, she loved investigating, exploring and always learning new things from the weirdest situations. One day, while in her lovely garden, she saw a very cute rabbit running through the flowers. She even could hear him scream: i’m late!!!late to my own party!!
Party, that was the magic word. Amelie couldn’t do anything else than follow the little rabbit, it was getting dark so she didn’t saw the hole in the ground.

And she was falling and falling…til she landed on some other garden. It was getting dark and cold, and no sign of the rabbit. Hmmm maybe in that castle…

– Hello, are you a queen?
– Yes, i am Amelie, the Red Queen of Wonderland.
– Ooohhh what a coincidence, my name is Amelie too!!
– It is a very common name here…
– Have you seen a white rabbit?
– Yes, he went to the party through that red door. Unfortunately they didn’t invite me…maybe it’s because i like cutting some heads off once in a while…
– Oh that is a shame, well i’ll try going to the party. Take care Queen Amelie.

– Hello my name is Amelie, can i join your party?
– Oh yes, my name is Amelie too. Take a seat next to me, said a woman with a strange hat with birds on top of it.

– I am Amelie and i own Le Cirque Du Freaks here in Wonderland. This is the white rabbit’s birthday, and those are his sister Amelie and his girlfriend Amelie, with their kid on her hat.

– Ohhh pleased to meet you, you all have very nice hats!!
– I am glad you like them Amelie, i am Amelie, the mad hatter and i made all these hats as well as the one Amelie, the card sitting next to me, is wearing. Maybe i could make one for you!

– Oohhh i’d love that!!!

And then we all heard screams and thunders outside…as one dark cloud was getting close to the castle…

Is there a cure for stupidity?

Brian Pickrell once said: “The two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity. But not in that order.”
And i totally agree. Considering stupidity is often defined as lack of intelligence or understanding i think it goes further. I consider myself an intelligent person. Yes i am not the brightest or the wisest ( not yet at least ;p) but i have a brain and i use it most of the time. This said, i admit i’ve been quite stupid at times too so…can stupidity be cured or, at least, prevented?

I started my investigation in Dr. Smartass’ clinic for metal disorders, checked tons of reports and phoned some colleages…but nothing.

 

Hmmm maybe it has something to do with the brain structure itself, or maybe it’s in the genes, travelling through your veins…passing from mom to children… Is it possible that certain brains are meant to be more stupid since birth?

 

No, that is not possible since really dumb parent sometimes have very bright kids, and viceversa.

When i was lost, deliberating, trying to find the clue…it came to me naturally.

A book from a shelf fell on my head, was painful since it was a thick one, but that gave me the answer…

 

Yes,i know reading a book wont save the world from stupidity, and there are also some people with  a high culture that are amazingly stupid. But i also think the more you read about several subjects, the more you learn and the more your mind opens. And someone with some culture and an open mind is less likely to act like a moron. Even though we all have our moments of dumbness…

 

When Verne met Jules

A few weeks after his first breakup, i thought it would be great taking Verne to the circus. I decided going to my fave circus…but it was closed!!!

That didn’t stop us though, the elephants were there so I jumped on stage to show the little creepy what an entertainer i am…

 

 

– Mommy!!!!The elephant is gonna eat you!!!

– Don’t worry silly, i don’t taste like peanuts at all, i will be ok.

– But what if he likes meat?

– Ok, you’re right, let’s go outside. I think i smell cotton candy!!

 

 

– Mommy, look what i found!!!!It is a little clockwork girl!!

– I am not a girl, i am a boy!!!, answered the little creature raising his metallic voice.

– But you wear a bow!!

– I like bows. If you live in a jar it means you’re a pickle?, answered the strange baby.

– No, of course not!

– Then i can wear a bow if i feel like it.

 

I thought they both looked very cute in their little fight and got them some cotton candy so they could make friends sharing some sweetness.

 

– So, what is your name?, i asked.

– My name is Jules, i work here selling cotton candy.

– Oh nice, and your parents?Where do you live?

– They left a long time ago, went to tour around Asia with some Indian Gypsy Circus. Come, i will show you my home.

 

– This is where is sleep and these naked guys in the picture are my parents. Mom always said i look like dad when he was young, what do you think?

– Ermmm yes…kind of…nevermind.

I let Jules and Verne play in the sun, while i sat there thinking, and thinking…How could i leave a little baby alone, having to sell cotton candy for a living?

 

– Hey, you two, wanna live together like brothers in our place?

It is hard to see tears of joy in a clockwork machine, and even harder on Verne, living in a jar full of liquid…but i am sure they were crying happily.

 

So, said and done we took Jules to our place. The poor creature was exhausted i think because, as soon as we landed, he fell asleep in my arms.

 

Verne’s first heartbreak

I guess there is a time when any kid wants to leave the comfy cozy castle of his mom, but i never imagined Verne would want to move out within his first year of life.
When i asked what was the reason to make the decission, if he wasnt happy in our new gorgeous land (pics to be posted soon) or if there was anything i could help him with he just said: i am in love and i wanna have some intimacy with her.

So, said and done, i placed a skybox above my garden so Verne could have his place. Some weeks after he sent me an im asking me to teleport there, so i did.
Found him in his little cradle looking a bit down and “not in the mood for chatting”, he said.

-Come on silly, tell me what happened, maybe i can help.
– No, you’ll think i am stupid.
– I could never think you’re stupid, just a bit silly and very stubborn, what happened?
– Ok, i will tell you.

-Juliet, she left.
-Juliet? Who is Juliet?
– My girlfriend, i met her in a hole while i was diggin in the park and now she left me…for a sandworm!!!
– Maybe they are just friends, or maybe she just needs some time. Women can be very complicated, my creepy creature.
– No, she left, look at the note she gave me.

-Awww i am sorry then Verne, but life goes on. There are many many girls out there.
-But she was special…
-We’re all special for someone, you just need to find the one you’re special for.

And it is true, we’re all unique and special. And Verne lives in a jar, isn’t that special already?
I tried to make him laugh a bit and think it worked, because after watching my skills on the circus ball he almost peed on himself!!!

-Feeling better?
-Yes mom, i feel much better now.
-Ok, now let’s go downstairs and pick your stuff, you’re coming back home now.
– Good idea, this place is too empty now.

-What’s that Verne?
-What’s what?
-There!!!Did someone die here?
-I have no idea, those things were here when i woke up this morning…
-Ok, let’s pack your stuff and get out of here, i am nor sure if i want to know more.

Verne’s last day of school…

Just before our Easter holidays Verne had to do some exam at school. With his name you’d think he’s a smartass, and you’re right…but he’s also damm lazy!!
I convinced him he had to make that test so we could go playing football afterwards, and that did the trick.
While we were waiting for the results, he started to draw: “i want to make a portrait”, he said.

He looked soo cute focussing in his creation!!!I wanted to peek and see what was he doing but he got angry and didn’t let me have a look till it was finnished.

– Ok, all done mommy, now you can look at my portrait.
– Ohhhhhh it looks great Verne, but who were you portraying?
– Who? Just some people i imagined.
– Then it’s not a portrait, silly. A portrait is your view on a person you’ve seen. But it is a great drawing, my little creepy thing.

Here we are, admiring his creation.

Soon afterwards, the teacher came with the results. He got 9 out of 10, awesome!!!
A deal is a deal, so we went to play football.

-Mommy, mommy, look at me!!!I want to play in Real Madrid!
– Sure Verne, we’ll find you a t -shirt your size and you’ll be ready to train with Mourinho ;p

Ooohhhhh, look there, i haven’t played that since i was like 10 years old!!!!Follow me!!!

Poor Verne couldn’t reach the bars so he just stood there giggling…and laughing his ass when i fell off!!!

So we ended our visit to his school in the nursery, funny, huh?

– Does it hurt, mommy?
– Nah, just itches a little bit, i will be fine (this said while trying not to cry from the pain)
– Can we play more football now then?
– Mmmmm i think i will rest a bit first, Verne. Go play alone while i watch from a safe distance-
– Wooohooooo he said while rushing outside again.

Fantasy Faire and Relay For Life: The Power Of Imagination

Sorry everyone for the delay, but i’ve had a busy and lazy week at the same time. Hope you have had a great week and are starting a nice weekend!

This said, i must show you all how amazing was the Fantasy Faire event that took part in Second Life. Proving not only that SL is not only a game for fun, but it can bring people together to raise funds for a good cause: helping others fight against cancer. Due to several circumstances i payed my visit the last day and i have to say i regret not visiting earlier, with plenty of time to explore.

Taken from the Fantasy Fair press note:

“Started three years ago as a benefit for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society, the Fantasy Faire of Second Life has raised more than $25,000 USD. For 2011 the goal of the Faire team, Friends Fighting Cancer, is to nearly double that amount by raising an additional $20,000 USD.

The Fantasy Faire 2011 features eight themed shopping sims, and a separate Events and Auctions sim which will border the American Cancer Society Island for the entire run of the Faire.

Twelve designers have worked, some alone, some in tandem, to create the Faire sims. They have had less than a month to develop and less than a week to install nine sims that are each a testament to their talents as builders and artists and to the spirit of Relay for Life.

Over 150 of Seconds Life’s top fantasy creators line the paths of the shopping sims, with a range of genres and styles from Elven, Fae, Steampunk, Mer, Goth, SciFi, and the gamut from tinies to Dragons. Every sim is a melange of elements and from door to door you’ll find clothing, avatars, furnishings, pre-fab houses and the kitchen sink filled with gooey chocolate.”

-Dark Mirage Sim:

This is where i chose to start my trip. It’s a dark, magical sim with a kinda arabian taste. Think kinda art deco and arabian pieces and mysterious landscaping and you might get a bit of the taste it had, at least for me. My fave spot?:

-Enchanted Mysts:

The place i chose to rest a bit before continuing the journey. Classy beautifully crafted buildings surrounded by elven like landscape, totally worth taking some time to just relax and enjoy.

-Exotic Worlds:

Interactive sim full of secret places to explore and delight yourself. Definetely one of my fave sims!!!

-Fantastical and Magical sim:

Faerie tales? That paradise you dreamed about when you were a kid? This sim brings together everything you could dream about when your imagination ruled your world. I felt like a little girl in a toy store 🙂

-Forest of Light:

Fantastic creatures in an enchanted forest where anyone would like to get lost for a while.

-Forest of Shadow:

Deep dark astonishing forest, no matter how deep you explore, you’ll always find something capturing your attention and not letting you go.

-Nemo Revisited:

A true tribute to Verne and the era of inventions. My fave part was the submarine where i found Nemo’s workshop:

-Sea of Mer:

The paradise any mermaid would love living in. To enjoy it appropiately i chose to become a mermaid myself using my Merlust outfit by Panda Express , mermaid skin by The Plastik and the Aloha hair by Truth Hair.

The Da Vinci Gardens & The Temple of the Pharaon: A mission for 007

Special agent 007 got a call from M, telling him to meet in his office so he could give him his new assignment. He was asked to go to a place named Da Vinci Gardens, find the secret temple and then get into the treasure’s chamber. Apparently there was something in there the Queen wanted badly.

– You wont go alone though, 007. We don’t want you to get stuck in some harem, said M.
– But that will ruin the fun!!!, answered 007.

At this point, Moneypenny guided me to the office where the meeting was taking place. I saw this sexy guy in a suit and thought…how lucky i am?

– 007, this is agent 069, she will be your partner in this mission, M said.
– Tulip, Joppem Tulip, said agent 007.
– Just call me 69, i answered.

And we got dressed as a couple having a romantic date, to not look suspicious in such a romantic Sim.
Started the tour flying around the place, delighting ourselves with the amazing views.

– Nice view, said 007.
– Could you please stop looking between my legs?, i said.
– It is not my fault, it’s the wind dear. And i can’t stop looking at something so beautiful, he replied.

We finally got to the temple’s entrace. Didn’t look that dangerous, but i was wondering if my heels were the most suitable footwear for that mission. Without time for changing, i had to continue.

– OMG snakes!!!!!, I screamed .
– Don’t worry , my dear. I will protect you, he said while holding me tight. Just follow me close and everything will be ok.

Still wondering how could he smell so damm good in the middle of the desert, i followed him, trying hard not to get lost in the dark.

-Mmmm did i say i love that dress, Miss 69?
-Could we please focus on the mission?, i replied, trying not to blush.

It was dark, the air was thick and stinky and we could hear creepy sounds of only God knows what kind of creatures. I was scared that we were lost, but then we found this rotating brige, with fire under it. There was a huge golden gate at the other side, looked like the Pharaon’s Chamber!!

Agent Tulip suddenly stopped, i was worried so i asked what was wrong.

– Fire, i cannot walk through that brige. What if i fall?, said the scared sexy looking agent.
– Don’t worry dear, i will help you get to the other side.

I started crossing the rotatitng bridge, small steps, being veeery careful not to fall. After all, this was one of my fave dresses, i wasn’t going to ruin it!

As soon as i got to the other side, i sent him a teleport. Don’t you just love teleporting?

And finally we got to the Pharaon’s Secret Chamber!!!!007 started to wander around the place, looking for the treasure.

– Look, it’s there!!!!, i screamed while pointing at one side of the chamber.
– What? That is a Souvenir store!!, let’s find the treasure for the Queen, said 007.
– Yes, exactly. She wanted some postcards, didn’t you know? , i said.
– We risked our pixels for some postcards?, said poor 007 looking shocked.

So i held his hand and guided him outside again.

We deserved some rest after such a hard mission, so i thought relaxing in a tent sounded nice.

– So…why are you named 007? , i asked.
– Because i always give every woman at least 7 orgasms, he answered.Why are you called 69?
– I will explain it to you, i said while blowing the candles in the tent.

And once it was all dark and cozy…
